In her personal time, she enjoys all the nature and beauty the Big Island of Hawaii offers. Church, the ocean, hiking, gardening, and spending time with animals are usually where you will find her.
Stephanie received the Parkinson's Voice Project Grant for 6 years in a row (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, 2024), hosts a free weekly maintenance speech group for Parkinson's called the SPEAK OUT!® class, hosted a free monthly ‘Talk Story’ group on Zoom for individuals with communication and cognitive challenges during COVID, historically volunteered on the educational affairs committee for the Hawaii Speech Language Hearing Association (HSHA), co-collaborates the SLP medical caucus for Hawaii, was a preceptor for new hires, and mentored multiple master's level students.
